Community Service
In 2011 all gardeners will be asked to sign up for a one month, April
through October, where they will help plan, execute and report on two (2) garden
improvement/maintenance projects and one (1) group event.
Project Checklist
- With others in your group, plan two group projects to benefit the gardens
- Look around for needed tasks. This can be anything from fence repair, planting/weeding/landscaping chores, to research on bug/critter control.
- Present plan with materials list, date, time, duration.
- Communicate to whole membership to solicit participants
- Report back to whole membership after completion
- Offer suggestions, comments for future projects
- Plan a meal, lecture, gathering for the group as a whole. Mix up the timing so everyone can be included.
- Present a budget/needs list with date/time
- Communicate to membership
- Have Fun!
